An access point's page shows what portierX knows about a door, which keys and cards open it, who can enter and what happened to it. The Organisation Admin, Access Manager and Security Monitor open it under Access Points by clicking the row or View in the row menu. What each role may change there is given in each section.
Also called: door page, door details, cylinder data. The screen calls keys and cards access credentials.
The header gives the access point's name and label, and its description. Two badges give the type and the status. Their meaning is in Access points: doors, cylinders and readers. The header also carries Link Access Credentials.
Three tiles follow.
Connected Space names the space with its location and its protection need. Change moves the door to another space or unlinks it, as Add access points and link them to spaces describes.
Data Synchronisation gives the result of the last sync, such as Up to date, Data conflicts found or Sync failed, and when it ran. With no data it reads Unknown status or Never synced. Pointing at the time shows the date and time.
Source names the door's manufacturer or Manual entry, and says in one sentence whether changes made in portierX go out to a connected system.
The Device Info & Settings tab is open when the page opens. It has three areas.
Naming and Labeling lists Name, Location/Label, Description and the date the record was created.
Lock Details shows pictures of the lock from the manufacturer's catalogue and the Technical Information area: the Lock kind and, depending on the device, lock model, colour, cylinder lengths, article number, power source, cylinder ID and battery health. Clicking a picture enlarges it.
Additional Information lists further details the connected system supplies. They are not changed in portierX.
The Organisation Admin and the Access Manager see the catalogue details. The Security Monitor sees a note in their place saying the role cannot see them.
The Organisation Admin changes the name, Location/Label and description, on the Device Info & Settings tab.
In Naming and Labeling, click Edit Details.
Change Name, Location/Label or Description. The name is required.
Click Save. Cancel drops the change.
The other roles see Read-only in place of the button. portierX does not change an imported access point and says so when you save. Which access points can be changed, by origin, is in Add access points and link them to spaces.
The Organisation Admin changes the lock kind, on the Device Info & Settings tab, in Technical Information. Click the Lock kind row, pick Profile cylinder, Half cylinder, Padlock or Other, and click Save. This works on every access point, imported ones included. For the other roles the row appears only once a lock kind is set.
When an access point belongs to a connected system, portierX writes a changed name or label back to that system. In SALTO that is the door, in dormakaba MATRIX the door with its short name, in ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ the cylinder. Interflex keeps its own names, and portierX writes nothing back to it. Whether portierX sends such changes straight away is set by the connection's Auto push switch, described in What the connection screen is telling you.
The Access Credentials tab lists every key and card that opens this door, with its status and holder. The number on the tab counts them. Search credentials finds an entry. Clicking a row, or View in the row menu, opens the key's preview.
For the Organisation Admin and the Access Manager, the row menu holds two more tasks that other pages describe.
Report Incident reports a loss, theft or damage, as Report a lost, stolen or damaged key or card describes.
Unlink appears on a key that is handed out or reserved and takes it back. What happens then is in Take access away without taking everything back.
The Organisation Admin and the Access Manager link keys and cards, on the access point's page. For the Security Monitor the button is disabled.
Click Link Access Credentials. When the door has no keys, the same button also sits on the empty Access Credentials tab.
In the Link Access Credentials drawer, tick the keys and cards that should open this door. The list holds only entries not linked to this door. Search Access Credentials narrows it.
Click Link.
Check the selection in the Connection Confirmation dialog and click Yes, Connect. No, Cancel goes back.
What a link means for the copies of a key is in Keys, copies and cards in portierX.
The People tab lists everyone who holds a key or card for this door. The number on the tab counts them. The search box finds a person. Clicking a row opens the person's page, and View in the row menu opens their preview. Remove Access takes away the person's access to this door, as described in Take access away without taking everything back. Access comes from the keys and cards linked to the door.
The Audit Log tab lists the audit log entries about this access point, each with who and when. The search box narrows them. All three roles that open the page see the tab.
The Organisation Admin and the Access Manager read an access point again from its connected system. This works on doors whose source is a connected system, that is SALTO, dormakaba MATRIX, ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ or Interflex.
In the Data Synchronisation tile, click Sync Now.
portierX reports Sync Started and reads the data from the system.
For SALTO and dormakaba MATRIX, portierX reads exactly this door. For ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ and Interflex it reads the whole connection again, because these systems do not hand out single doors. The result then shows in the Data Synchronisation tile and as a run on the connection's page.
The Organisation Admin and the Access Manager sync several access points from the Access Points list.
Tick the rows. The selection holds while you page through the list.
Check the count and the names in the selection bar. A single entry can be taken out there, and Clear All empties the selection.
Open the selection bar's three-dot menu and click Sync Selection.
A selection holds doors of one system only. For ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ and Interflex it also comes from one connection only. If a door in it cannot be synced, portierX refuses the whole selection and names the system.
Every change to the name, label, description and lock kind, every link and every sync run is written to the Audit Log.
After linking, the keys and cards appear on the Access Credentials tab, and their holders on the People tab.
When the door belongs to a connected system, portierX writes the linked keys and cards to that system as access rights, following the connection's Auto push setting.
A sync run appears on the connection's Sync Log tab under Integrations.
The Organisation Admin, Access Manager and Security Monitor open the page. The Credential Manager has no Access Points page.
Only the Organisation Admin changes the name, Location/Label, description and lock kind.
The Organisation Admin and the Access Manager link keys and cards and sync. The Security Monitor sees everything and changes nothing.
An access point's name is unique in the organisation.
portierX does not change the name, label or description of an imported access point. Its lock kind can be set.
Only doors from SALTO, dormakaba MATRIX, ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ and Interflex can be synced. Doors of a mechanical master key system come in through the import and are not synced.
A sync reads from the system. What portierX writes to the system, it writes when you change or link.
