Go to portierX

Brand the emails portierX sends

Set the company name, logo and brand colour for every email portierX sends for your organisation, in every language; an empty field means the portierX default.

Under Settings, Email Branding the Organisation Admin sets the company name, logo and brand colour carried by the emails portierX sends for the organisation. The page is titled Email branding; the Organisation branding card holds the three fields, with the Email preview beside them.

Also called: email templates, logo in emails, corporate design.

Set the branding

  1. Open Settings, then Email Branding.

  2. Under Company display name, enter the name, up to 60 characters.

  3. Under Logo URL, enter the address of a publicly reachable PNG file, over https and at least 200 px wide. Below the field the logo appears at the size the email header shows it. Without an address the line reads No logo set.

  4. Under Brand colour, enter a six-digit colour value such as #1e2761, or pick the colour with the swatch beside the field.

  5. Click Save. The button becomes active once a field has changed.

The Email preview shows a sample email with the logo, name and colour as they stand in the form. The preview's subject and text are a sample.

What happens next

  • From the next email on, your logo sits at the top of every email, 200 px wide, and the brand colour colours the title, the button and the links. The company name is the text the mail client shows in the logo's place when it does not load the image.

  • This applies to every email portierX sends for your organisation, in every language: sign-in codes, account activation, password, hand-over and return confirmations, access requests, key reminders, reviews. Which emails those are is on Emails portierX sends.

  • After saving, the fields show the saved values.

Rules

  • All three fields are optional. An empty field means the portierX default: the name portierX, the portierX logo and the default colour. An organisation that sets nothing sends with the portierX branding.

  • portierX does not store the logo. It is loaded from the given address with every email, on the recipient's side. The address starts with https and is at most 2048 characters long.

  • The company name is at most 60 characters and contains no quotation marks, no angle brackets and no curly brackets.

  • The brand colour is a colour value with # and six digits. The three-digit short form is not accepted.

  • A logo the mail client cannot load is replaced by the company name. The preview reports an address no image can be loaded from.

  • The sender stays portierX: the emails come from [email protected], sign-in codes from [email protected]. The sign-off at the end of the email stays portierX's.

  • The subject and text of the emails cannot be changed here.

  • The page needs the Organisation Admin role. Someone who may only view settings sees the values with the note Read-only field.
