A domain is the part of an eCLIQ system that the CLIQ Web Manager manages separately. When the Organisation Admin puts a domain under portierX, portierX takes its access profiles over as people groups and decides about those groups from then on. It happens under Integrations, in the eCLIQ connection, on the Configuration tab, in the CLIQ domains card.
Also called: CLIQ domain, govern a domain, take over a domain.
Before you start
The eCLIQ connection is set up and has synchronised at least once. Only then are the domains in the card. The set-up is on Connect ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ.
You hold the Organisation Admin role. An Access Manager sees the card but cannot use the switch.
Put a domain under portierX
Open Integrations, the Connected tab and the eCLIQ connection.
Switch to the Configuration tab. The CLIQ domains card lists each domain with its status, Reported or No longer reported.
In the domain's row, turn on the switch in the Under portierX column.
In the Put this domain under portierX? dialog, confirm with Put under portierX.
What happens next
From the next synchronisation, each run also reads the domain this way:
Each access profile in the domain becomes, at its first read, a people group with the profile's name. Its members are the persons the profile is attached to. The group is under People, on the Groups tab, and its page names where it came from: CLIQ Web Manager, the connection and the domain.
Whoever is left out of a group is listed once in the Sync Log: a profile attached to a key but not to the key's holder, a key nobody holds, a key that holds the profile only through a temporary access group, and a CLIQ Web Manager person with no record in portierX.
Each door of the connection records which cylinder group and which access profiles of the domain reach it. That becomes a group of spaces only when someone confirms its rooms.
Turning the switch on is written to the audit log, with the domain, the connection, who and when.
The takeover gives no one access and takes no one's access away. It creates no assignment and writes nothing to the CLIQ Web Manager.
What changes for work in the CLIQ Web Manager
Work in the CLIQ Web Manager goes on as before. A group taken over belongs to portierX from its first read, though. If someone later changes the access profile in the CLIQ Web Manager, the group in portierX does not change. Whoever renames, edits or deletes a taken-over group in portierX keeps that change through every later synchronisation.
Take a domain back
In the domain's row, turn off the Under portierX switch.
In the Take this domain back from portierX? dialog, confirm with Take back.
The domain then synchronises as it did before. The groups portierX took over from it stay in portierX.
Rules
Only the Organisation Admin puts a domain under portierX or takes it back.
A domain the CLIQ Web Manager no longer reports cannot be put under portierX. If it is already under portierX, it can be taken back.
Each access profile is taken over exactly once. A profile that has ever had a group, even one deleted since, is never taken over again. That holds when the domain is taken back and put under portierX again.
If a group in portierX already carries the profile's name, or the name is empty or too long, the profile is not taken over. The Sync Log gives the reason.
Membership of a taken-over group gives no access.
While a domain of the connection is under portierX, the connection's server address cannot change.
