Looking after several sites for several clients means working in several organisations in portierX, and one login is enough for that. After signing in you choose the organisation, and from the user menu at the end of the sidebar you switch without signing out.
You are a member of every organisation you are to work in. The Organisation Admin of each one adds you there, with the role that fits, see Add a user and set their role.
Sign in. portierX checks how many organisations your account belongs to.
With exactly one, a page shows the button Continue to with the organisation's name. One click and you are in.
With several, the page Choose an organisation appears. It starts with who is signed in and a Sign out button. Each row names the organisation, your role there, its number of properties and its location. With more than five organisations, a search field helps.
Three markers order the list: Default on your default organisation, Last used on the one you last chose on this device, with when that was, and No longer available on an organisation whose membership has ended, which cannot be chosen. An organisation that is both default and last used carries Default alone.
Leave Remember my choice on this device ticked when the device is yours.
Click the organisation. A loading card briefly shows its name, and then you are on the dashboard.
Click your name at the end of the sidebar. The menu shows the organisation you are in and your role there.
Under Switch organisation sit your other organisations, the last used first. With more than four, the entry View all … organisations opens a search by name or location, and Open full organisation picker in it leads to the page Switch organisation with all of them.
Click the organisation. The switch happens at once.
As Organisation Admin, open the Profile page at the address /settings/profile.
Under Default Organisation, pick the organisation. The one set so far carries Current default.
Click Save default. A message confirms it.
After a choice or a switch you hold the access to that organisation: every list reloads, and your role is the one you hold there.
With the box ticked, the device remembers the choice: next time the organisation sits at the top with Last used, and the sign-in on this device lasts seven days. Unticked, it ends when you close the browser. A switch from the user menu is always remembered.
The saved default organisation carries the marker Default in the list.
You always work in exactly one organisation. No report, no audit log and no list reaches across organisations. Anyone needing the same report for three sites runs it three times.
A role applies per organisation. Someone who is Organisation Admin in one can be Security Monitor in another.
One organisation grants no other organisation access to its data. There is no parent account and no view across organisations. A service provider works as a member of the customer's organisation, and the customer grants and ends that membership.
The list appears at every sign-in once you belong to several organisations. Default and the remembered choice order the list; the choice is never made for you.
If your account belongs to no organisation, the page says so. Ask an Organisation Admin to add you, or check your inbox for an invitation.
If your membership has ended or the organisation has been disabled in the meantime, portierX says so when you switch, and you stay where you are.
The Profile page opens only for an Organisation Admin of the organisation they are in.
