This path is for approvers, reviewers and key holders, who mostly come to portierX from an email: a request to approve, a review to answer, or a PIN or receipt from a hand-over. Many of them hold only the Individual role, and their tasks come from being named for a place or from receiving a key. portier's introduction team trains them on this path and leaves it behind as the manual. You can also work through it on your own.
Sign in from the link in an email from portierX, and reset a forgotten password.
Choose which reminder emails reach you.
Approve a request, or decline it with a reason.
Answer the rows of an access review and submit them.
Confirm at the hand-over that you received a key or card.
Handle what comes to you as Responsible or Deputy for a place.
You need a portierX login to your organisation. Any role will do, the Individual role included. To decide requests and answer access reviews, your login must be linked to your own person record. Your Organisation Admin links it.
Your first day in portierX. You know where signing in takes you and where a task from an email starts.
Sign in and reset your password. You sign in from any link in an email, also when you have forgotten your password.
Your own account: reminder emails and language. You decide which reminders about your keys reach you by email.
When access needs approval. You understand why a request comes to you and what waits for your yes.
Approve or decline a request. You answer a request from the email or from the dashboard.
Follow or cancel a request you raised. You find the requests you have decided, and see how the person who raised a request follows it.
Answer an access review. You answer the rows of a review that asks you, and submit them.
Hand over a key or card and confirm receipt. You know what happens at the key desk when you collect a key, and how you confirm receipt.
Name who is responsible for a place. You know what being named Responsible or Deputy for a place means for you, and who names you.
Access to a room that needs approval. You follow one request from start to finish, from the space's setting to the key in your hand.
Sign out from the menu on your name at the end of the sidebar, and sign in again with your work email. Note whether portierX asks for your password or takes you to your company's sign-in (Sign in and reset your password).
Open the Account page from your name at the end of the sidebar. Find the groups of reminder emails that apply to you, and the rows your organisation has locked (Your own account: reminder emails and language).
If you received a key or card through portierX, find the email that confirmed your last hand-over and read which keys it lists, each with its return date (Hand over a key or card and confirm receipt).
This exercise needs you to be named Approver of a space or owner of a master key system. Then open the Dashboard and read the To decide and Decided tabs, without answering a request to practise (Approve or decline a request).
This exercise needs an open access review that asks you for answers. Open it under Reviews and find one of your rows with the search box, without submitting (Answer an access review).
Who decides a request for a space when no Approver is named on it, on its building or on its location? (When access needs approval)
Can you change your answer to a request once you have given it? (Approve or decline a request)
What changes if you do not answer an access review? (Answer an access review)
How does the PIN reach you when you confirm a hand-over with the PIN method? (Hand over a key or card and confirm receipt)
Does being named Responsible for a place change your role in portierX? (Name who is responsible for a place)
If you hand out keys and cards at the key desk, continue with the path for the Credential Manager (Training path: Credential Manager).
