Your locksmith has changed the master key system and sends the key plan as an XML file. Uploading and applying it is the Organisation Admin's job. The Access Manager can also review and decide the changes. It starts on the master key system's connection under Integrations.
The steps fall into three parts, before the upload, the upload itself and the check afterwards.
Two checks decide how the file goes in.
The Organisation Admin makes sure the file is for the connected master key system and comes from the same manufacturer (Decide what changes when you re-import a plan).
If the changes should be reviewed before they apply, the Organisation Admin or the Access Manager sets Conflict Resolution on the connection's Configuration tab to Always Ask (Decide what changes when you re-import a plan).
The upload starts on the connection's Import Log tab.
The Organisation Admin uploads the file with Update Version. Without Always Ask, portierX applies it on its own (Decide what changes when you re-import a plan).
With Always Ask, the version reads Review Required, and the Organisation Admin or the Access Manager decides each difference, addition and removal on Review Changes (Decide what changes when you re-import a plan).
The Organisation Admin then applies the decisions with Apply Changes (Decide what changes when you re-import a plan).
If the import fails, the version on the Import Log names the reason, and the Organisation Admin runs the import again or asks the locksmith for a corrected export (Sync, import and run statuses).
After the apply, check the key plan, the doors and the keys.
The Organisation Admin or the Access Manager reads the building's key plan under Locations, or the whole plan on the connection's Locking Plan tab (Read your locking plan).
The Organisation Admin or the Access Manager checks under Access Points that every door from the plan sits in the right space, and changes the space where it does not (Add access points and link them to spaces).
For each key the plan brings for the first time, the Organisation Admin, the Access Manager or the Credential Manager confirms the class on the key's page (Find a key and read its page).
On the Import Log, the uploaded version reads Completed.
No version on the Import Log reads Review Required.
The building's key plan shows the cylinders and keys from the locksmith's file.
Under Access Points, every door from the plan sits in its space.
Every key the plan brought for the first time carries a confirmed class.
